We share this planet with some truly incredible creatures, from the blue whale that can reach almost 30 meters in length to the surprisingly strong dung beetle, which can carry objects 1141 times heavier than itself.

There are some creatures on Earth that are pretty deadly, ourselves included. Luckily for us, the majority of these creatures don’t come into our everyday lives, so we’re pretty safe for now.

However that can’t be said for all of them and trust us when we say you’ll be surprised to find out why ‘man’s best friend’ isn’t as loyal as you think.

Box Jellyfish

Nearly invisible, the box jellyfish is one of the most venomous marine animals in the world. The toxic stingers along each tentacle can attack the nervous system, skin cells and the heart.

Blue-Ringed Octopus

AnotherĀ of the most venomous marine animals is the blue-ringed octopus which can sting with toxins that are so powerful, they can result in death. Causing paralysis of the respiratory muscles, if you’re stung by one of these you would need artificial respiration immediately.
