Hurricane Katrina was one of the five most deadly hurricanes in the history of the United States, and was also the most costly natural disaster. Lives, homes and entire towns were completely destroyed by the storm. However, amongst the huge amount of destruction were people coming together to help one another.
A perfect example of this is Master Sergeant Maroney, who helped bring a terrified little toddler to safety. This toddler was LaShay Brown, who was just three-years-old at the time of the hurricane, and her home had been caught up in the destructive path of the storm.
