Last weekend saw the hoards of trust-fund babies and gaggle of celebrities heading to Indio, California, for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The internet was instantly bombarded with images of the hottest celeb outfit choices and photos of effortless fun in the sun – a stark difference to what you might find at a festival back in Blighty.
This year’s edition, which is spread over two weekends – April 14-16 & 21-23 – features headlining acts such as: Radiohead, Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar. However, in the day and age of desire to increase and sustain a social media following, the music is often more of a backdrop when it comes to Coachella. It’s definitely more about the scene and being seen.
Times have certainly changed for the festival, and although the festival-goers remain extremely scantily clad, many other things have changed. Take a look at these pictures which show just how different Coachella was 10 years ago – way back in 2007.
